Here's the latest platform news as of March 31, 2025:
- Please note that we are now asking students to answer 4 basic demographic questions for NRFF when they log in. Students will only be asked to do this once, the first time that they log in starting now.
- Text-to-speech capability is now built in to the exams in Chrome! There's no need for a browser extension. Under our new process: if a student needs text-to-speech, please submit a request using our accommodations request form. Once the request is approved, the student's exam will automatically have text-to-speech enabled.
- Check out our new, half-hour online micro-course, "Customer Conflict De-Escalation Training," which was just released! The online course & exam bundle includes a 10-question exam.
- Are you looking for a way to archive past students in the platform? We have rolled out an ARCHIVE SELECTED STUDENTS feature, which you can find on the MANAGE STUDENTS page. Archived students will not appear in VIEW STUDENT REPORT and cannot be assigned licenses. We have also added VIEW ARCHIVED-STUDENT REPORT so you can always see the data for past, archived students, but separately from the data for your current students. If you accidentally archive a student and need to undo that action, please reach out to our support team.
- The Customer Service & Sales (CSS), Retail Industry Fundamentals (RIF), and Business of Retail (BoR) courses have been refreshed, and the new versions are ready to use. The Warehouse, Inventory & Logistics (WIL) course has been retired and has been replaced with the new, expanded Supply Chain, Inventory & Logistics (SCIL) course. All unused, unexpired course and exam licenses have been updated to the new versions. The now-retired online courses, textbooks, and instructor guides are no longer available on the RISE Up platform.
- Please note: Any license that a student began using before Monday, July 22, was not updated and will continue as that now-retired version. All licenses that had not been started by July 22nd, 2024 have been updated to the July 2024 release version. All licenses will continue to be valid until their expiration date.
- All pre-orders for textbooks and instructor guides have been shipped as of August 1, 2024.
- Please note that as of June 1st, paper exams have been discontinued and all exams will be offered only online.
- Please note that the license display has changed to now allow you to see licenses broken into pages. You can now use the arrows above the licenses list on the right-hand side to move to the next page of licenses, and the menu to determine how many licenses you want to appear on any given page.
- You may notice changes to our shipping rates, which now follow a more precise calculation with UPS and our print vendor.
- You may notice changes to our address validation process and may be asked to confirm your address. This is due to changes in the way that our platform works with the USPS to ensure that the addresses we have on file are accurate.
- We've been asked to confirm how the license expiration process works: if you purchase course or exam licenses, they're valid for one year from the date of purchase and will expire after one year.
- If you're a non-tax-exempt customer, you may notice changes to our sales tax charges in 2024 based on our 2024 sales tax requirements from the states.
- We moved offices in the fall of 2023, so please be sure your finance department has our current address.

IT departments, especially at schools, often block emails from outside domains. When you sign up with us, or if you have signed up and feel you are not receiving emails from us, please make sure that your IT department is allowing emails from kaleidolearning.com, especially riseup@kaleidolearning.com, RISEUpSupport@kaleidolearning.com, and support@kaleidoscopelearning.zendesk.com.
